What this route is for

  • Downsizing to the Gulf side. The pieces that fit the new place (bedroom set, recliner, dining table, boxes) going from a Miami-Dade house to a Sarasota condo or 55+ community, while the rest is sold or stays with family.
  • Seasonal homes. Furnishing a place on the keys for the winter, or bringing pieces back to Miami when a seasonal condo is sold.
  • Small apartments. One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom. We don't have any big trucks, vans only.

The route and the Sarasota end

Most trips cross the Everglades on I-75 (Alligator Alley) and go north up the Gulf coast past Naples, Fort Myers and Port Charlotte into Sarasota County; the Tamiami Trail (US 41) is the other way across, depending on where in Miami-Dade we load. In Sarasota we deliver to Downtown and Golden Gate Point condo towers, the villa and 55+ communities off Bee Ridge Road, Clark Road and Fruitville Road, the newer communities out east in Lakewood Ranch, and the barrier islands: Lido Key past St. Armands Circle, Siesta Key, and Longboat Key.

Siesta Key and the other keys are reached over bridges, some of which open for boats, and many island condo associations limit moves in season. Send the association's move days, elevator booking and any COI request with your quote, so the unloading window is set before we load in Miami.

Pricing

In-state moves are priced per job, not from an hourly rate card. Tell the chat what's moving (photos help), both addresses, the floors and elevators at each end, and your date, and you get one price in writing before the job. Nothing is added on the day unless you ask for extra work and agree to it first.

A certificate of insurance (COI) is always available for your building, at either end.

Florida only. We move only within Florida: both addresses must be in Florida. We don't do out-of-state moves.

Miami to Sarasota questions

How is a Miami to Sarasota move priced?

Per job, by quote. Send photos, both addresses, the floors and elevators at each end and your date in the chat, and you get one price in writing before the job.

My parents are moving into a 55+ community in Sarasota. What should we send?

The community's move-in rules (allowed hours, where the van can park, any gate registration) and a list or photos of the pieces going. If the office asks for a COI, we send it.

Can you deliver to Siesta Key or Longboat Key?

Yes. Send the island address, the building's move rules and the elevator booking in the chat. We don't have any big trucks, vans only, so condo loading areas are rarely a problem.

Can you move me out of Florida?

No. We move only within Florida: both addresses must be in Florida.
