Our van

One van, set up for small moves

We use Mercedes-Benz Sprinter high-roof cargo vans, not box trucks. They're big enough for about 500 cubic feet (a studio or light 1-bedroom per van) and small enough for garages, loading docks, and tight streets. Our fleet: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 high-roof cargo vans.

Inside a One Piece Delivery Sprinter van with ramp, straps, and dollies

What's on every van

  • Hand truck: for dressers, cabinets, and stacks of boxes
  • 4-wheel furniture dollies: for sofas, cabinets, and heavy pieces
  • Portable ramp: to load without lifting and dragging, and to get over a few steps
  • Moving blankets: to wrap furniture before it leaves your home
  • Tape and shrink wrap: to hold blankets in place and keep drawers and doors shut
  • Ratchet and ribbon straps: so nothing shifts on the road
  • Tool kit: to take apart and put back together beds, tables, and desks
  • Protected cargo area: carpet-lined, so furniture rides on a soft surface

The van comes to every job, labor-only included. That's how the equipment gets there.

Why not a big truck?

A 16- or 26-foot truck is built for a house. For a few pieces it's harder to park, slower through condo docks, and you end up paying for space you don't use. A Sprinter gets in, gets loaded, and gets going.

Two movers, every time

Every van rolls with two people. Heavy pieces get carried properly, and someone's always watching the van.
