Towers along Las Olas Boulevard and the New River downtown, oceanfront condos on Galt Ocean Mile and A1A, buildings on the Intracoastal near Harbor Beach. Each has its own move rules. Two movers and a Sprinter van plan around them.

Downtown and Las Olas towers

  • Elevator windows. Most towers want the service elevator reserved for a set window, and some allow moves only on certain days. Tell us the window and we plan the crew and the order of items around it.
  • COI requests. Management usually wants a certificate of insurance before the move. Send the certificate holder name and address and any wording they need. Naming the building or you as additional insured is $75.
  • Garage docks. Loading areas are often inside the parking garage. Send the posted clearance: our high-roof Sprinter is taller than a car. If it can't get in, we plan a curbside load.

Galt Ocean Mile, A1A and the Intracoastal

Oceanfront buildings on Galt Ocean Mile and along A1A usually take moves through a side or garage entrance, not the front drive. Ask the front desk where movers check in. Long hallways to an oceanfront or bayside unit are padded and carried, and it's part of the hourly time.

Getting to the beach side means crossing the Intracoastal on Sunrise Boulevard, Las Olas Boulevard or SE 17th Street, and those bridges open for boats. We plan the route around them, and the drive between your addresses is billed time, so a move from Las Olas to Galt Ocean Mile takes less of it than one to Miami.

Fort Lauderdale questions

Our building only allows moves on weekdays during set hours. Is that a problem?

No. We work 7 days a week, 7 AM–7 PM. Tell us the allowed window when you book. Anything a building requires before 7 AM or after 7 PM is billed at double rate ($330/hour).

What do you need for the COI?

Your building's requirements: the certificate holder name and address, plus any wording they want. If the building or you must be named as additional insured, that COI is $75.

Does the building's move deposit go through you?

No. Building fees and deposits are between you and the association. Our price covers the crew, the van and the time.

Can you move a few pieces from my condo into storage?

Yes. Storage jobs are hourly: $165/hour for 2 movers + the van, 2-hour minimum ($330). One or two items alone is a flat rate.
