Small moves in Pinecrest

Pinecrest is mostly single-family homes on large lots between US-1 (Pinecrest Parkway), Red Road, Snapper Creek Canal and SW 136th Street, with apartments and townhomes along US-1 toward Dadeland. Two movers and a Sprinter van for the part of the house that has to move: before a rebuild, out of a guest house, or the few rooms going to a new place.

What we plan around in Pinecrest

  • Moving out for a rebuild or a big renovation. Many Pinecrest houses are renovated or rebuilt with the family living somewhere else. We move what you need into a rental apartment near Dadeland or South Miami, take the rest to storage, and bring it all back when the house is done. Each trip is its own hourly job, so you only pay for the moves you book.
  • Guest houses, pool houses and home offices. A separate building on the lot often has its own furniture and a path through the yard. Tell us which buildings are part of the job and send a photo of the path from the driveway.
  • Driveways, pavers and new sod. If the driveway is new or the lawn was just laid, tell us where the van should stop and which way to walk, and we keep to it.
  • Apartments and townhomes along US-1. Buildings near Dadeland and the Pinecrest end of US-1 usually have a loading area, a freight elevator or outside stairs, and management move hours. Send the rules when you book.

Family moves and routes

A lot of Pinecrest moves stay in the family: a bedroom set to a child's first apartment in Brickell or Coral Gables, a few pieces from a parent's house into a smaller condo nearby, or one room cleared out for a home office. Tell us which pieces go where, label anything that goes to a second address, and we plan the stops in one trip.

US-1 runs north past Dadeland to South Miami, Coral Gables and Brickell, the Palmetto Expressway and the Don Shula Expressway start close by, and Kendall, Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay are short drives. There's no travel fee: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address, and the drive between your addresses is part of it.

One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom; for more, we'll suggest a second trip or a second crew (each crew: $195 for the first hour, then $165/hour).

Pinecrest questions

We're moving out while our house is rebuilt. Can you bring everything back later?
