What we plan around in Homestead

  • Townhome and gated communities. Neighborhoods like Keys Gate and the newer developments off Campbell Drive and Kingman Road have gates, HOA move rules and visitor parking limits. Leave our name with the gate and tell us where a van can stop.
  • Two-story townhomes. Bedrooms upstairs on a staircase that turns. No stair fees; stairs are part of the hourly time.
  • Downtown and Krome Avenue. Older single-story homes, duplexes and small apartment buildings with street parking. Tell us where a van can stop.
  • The Redland. Large lots, long and sometimes unpaved driveways, and gates. Send the gate code or meet us at the gate, and tell us if the driveway gets soft after rain.

Routes from Homestead

Homestead is at the south end of the area we cover. Most moves head north on Florida's Turnpike or US-1 to Florida City, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, Kendall and the rest of Miami-Dade, and some go all the way to Broward. There's no travel fee: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address, and the drive between your addresses is part of it.

One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom; for more, we'll suggest a second trip or a second crew ($165/hour per crew). Already have a rental truck? We also do labor-only loading at the same hourly rate.

A certificate of insurance (COI) is always available for your building. Adding the building as additionally insured is $75.

Is there a travel fee to come down to Homestead?

No. There's no travel fee anywhere we work: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address.

We're moving from Homestead to Kendall. How is that billed?

Hourly, at $165/hour for 2 movers + the van, 2-hour minimum, with the drive between your addresses included in the billed time. You get a written estimate before the move.

Can your van get into a property in the Redland?

Usually, yes. Tell us about the gate and the driveway when you book, and send a photo if it's narrow or unpaved. If the van can't get close, we park nearby and plan the carry.
