Small moves in Margate

What we plan around in Margate

  • Villas and duplexes. Two homes share a wall, and often a driveway or a small lot. Tell us which side is yours and where the van can stop without blocking your neighbor.
  • Homes with a carport. Many houses have a carport instead of a closed garage, with storage rooms or shelves behind it. Tell us what's out there and in the shed, so it's planned into the time.
  • Condo communities off State Road 7. Older multi-building communities with an association office, guest parking and move rules. Send the building and unit, the allowed hours, and whether the office wants a COI.
  • Apartments. Garden buildings with outside stairs or a single elevator. Tell us the floor; there are no stair fees.

Routes from Margate

Margate sits in north-central Broward between Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Tamarac, North Lauderdale and Pompano Beach. State Road 7 (US-441) runs through it north to south; Atlantic Boulevard, Margate Boulevard and Copans Road run east to Florida's Turnpike and I-95, and the Sawgrass Expressway is a short drive west. We go south to Fort Lauderdale and Miami-Dade and north to Palm Beach too. There's no travel fee: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address.

A certificate of insurance (COI) is always available for your building. Adding the building as additionally insured is $75.

Margate questions

I share a driveway with the other half of my duplex. Is that a problem?

No. Tell us where the van can stop and when your neighbor needs the driveway, and we plan around it. The carry from the van is part of the hourly time.

My condo association in Margate needs a COI. Can you send one?

Yes. A COI is always available; adding the building as additionally insured is $75. Send the association's requirements when you book.

Is there a minimum for a small move?

No. The first hour is $195 for 2 movers + the van, then $165/hour in 30-minute increments.

I only need movers, not a van. Is that cheaper?

It's the same price. The crew still comes in the van, because they need transport and the van carries all the moving equipment: dollies, pads, straps and tools.
