Small moves in Lighthouse Point

Lighthouse Point is a small city of houses, not towers: single-family homes on finger canals between Federal Highway and the Intracoastal, many with a dock, a pool deck and a two-car garage, plus a few low-rise condos and apartments near Federal Highway. Two movers and a Sprinter van for the rooms you're moving, the guest house, or the furniture that has to make room for a renovation.

What we plan around in Lighthouse Point

  • Dead-end canal streets. Many streets east of Federal Highway end at the water, with little room to turn a van and neighbors' cars along the curb. Tell us where the van can stop or turn, and whether we can use the driveway.
  • Pool decks and docks. Outdoor furniture, loungers and heavy planters often sit out back by the water. Tell us the path to the driveway, through the garage or a side gate, and send a photo if it's tight.
  • Renovations and rebuilds. Older homes here get remodeled or rebuilt. If rooms have to be cleared into the garage, a storage unit or a rental, and filled again afterwards, each trip is its own hourly job.
  • High-water days. Some low streets near the canals can take on water during the fall king tides or after heavy rain. If your street does, tell us and we'll plan the time with you.

Routes from Lighthouse Point

Lighthouse Point sits between Pompano Beach to the south and Deerfield Beach to the north, with Federal Highway on its west side and the Intracoastal on the east. Sample Road and Federal Highway connect it to I-95, and Hillsboro Boulevard and Copans Road are close by. Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Coconut Creek are short drives, and we go south to Miami-Dade too. There's no travel fee: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address.

We don't have any big trucks, vans only. One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom; for a whole house we'll suggest a second trip or a second crew (each crew: $195 for the first hour, then $165/hour). Lighthouse Point questions

Our street ends at the canal. Can your van get in and out?

Usually, yes. Tell us how much room there is at the end of the street and whether we can use your driveway; send a photo if it's tight. The carry from where the van stops is part of the hourly time.

We're remodeling. Can you clear a few rooms and bring everything back later?

Yes. Clearing the rooms is one hourly job and moving back is another. Tell us where everything goes in between: the garage, a storage unit or a rental.

Is there a minimum for a small move?

No. The first hour is $195 for 2 movers + the van, then $165/hour in 30-minute increments.

I only need movers, not a van. Is that cheaper?

It's the same price. The crew still comes in the van, because they need transport and the van carries all the moving equipment: dollies, pads, straps and tools.
