What we plan around in St. Augustine

  • The historic district. Narrow one-way streets, little curb space, tourist traffic and some pedestrian-only streets. Tell us where the van can stop closest to the door, and send a photo of the street and the entry.
  • Old homes and upstairs units. Steep, narrow stairs and small doorways in older houses in the historic district and Lincolnville. Tell us the floor and which pieces are large; there are no stair fees.
  • Anastasia Island and Vilano Beach. Beach houses and condos across the bridges, with association move rules and certificate of insurance (COI) requests at some buildings. Send the rules; the COI is always available.
  • New communities to the west. Newer neighborhoods along SR 16 and toward I-95, with HOA rules for vans. Tell us about any rules.

Getting around St. Augustine

St. Augustine moves run on US 1, San Marco Avenue, King Street, SR 16, SR 207, SR 312, A1A and I-95. The Bridge of Lions to Anastasia Island is a drawbridge that opens for boats, and the downtown streets are busiest on weekends and during the winter holiday lights season, so a weekday morning start often helps. Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach and Palm Coast are within reach; tell us both addresses and we'll plan the route.

We move only within Florida, and we don't have any big trucks, vans only. One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom; for more, we'll suggest a second trip or a second crew. Moving to St. Augustine from Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach? St. Augustine questions

Our apartment is upstairs in an old house downtown. Can you get furniture up those stairs?

Send photos of the stairs, the doorways and the largest pieces. Stairs are part of the hourly time, with no stair fees; if a piece needs to come apart to fit, tell us before the move.

There's almost no parking on our street. What happens then?

Tell us where the van can stop closest to your door. A longer carry from the van is part of the hourly time.

Do you do local moves inside St. Augustine, or only moves from South Florida?

Both. Our crews are based in South Florida, so ask in the chat for a quote for your addresses and date. There's no minimum: $195 for the first hour for 2 movers + the van, then $165/hour in 30-minute increments.

Can you move me out of Florida?

No. We move only within Florida.
