Small moves in Lauderhill

Lauderhill is a city of condo communities and apartment complexes: big multi-building condos around Inverrary, garden-style apartments along State Road 7, Oakland Park Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard, and neighborhoods of single-family homes in between. Two movers and a Sprinter van for the condo, the apartment, or the few rooms you're moving.

What we plan around in Lauderhill

  • Condo communities with many buildings. Around Inverrary and elsewhere in the city, one community can have a dozen buildings, a gate, and an association office that approves moves ahead of time. Send us the building and unit number, the move rules and the gate instructions.
  • Elevators and catwalks. Many mid-rise condos here have open walkways to each unit and one elevator per building. Tell us the floor and whether the elevator has to be reserved or padded.
  • Garden apartments. Two- and three-story buildings with outside stairs and a parking lot. Tell us the floor; there are no stair fees.
  • Single-family homes. Houses with a driveway are the simplest stop: tell us if anything is in the garage or out back.

Routes from Lauderhill

Lauderhill sits in the middle of Broward: State Road 7 (US-441) runs through it, Florida's Turnpike crosses the city, and Oakland Park, Sunrise and Commercial Boulevards connect it east and west. Plantation, Sunrise, Lauderdale Lakes, Tamarac and Fort Lauderdale are short drives, and I-95 and I-595 take us to Miami-Dade and Palm Beach. There's no travel fee: billed time starts when the crew arrives at your first address.

A lot of Lauderhill moves are a parent moving into a smaller condo, or someone moving out of one to family. Tell us which pieces go to which address and we plan the stops in one trip. One van holds about 500 cubic feet, roughly a studio or a light 1-bedroom; for more, we'll suggest a second trip or a second crew (each crew: $195 for the first hour, then $165/hour).

Lauderhill questions

My condo association has to approve the move. What do you need?

Send the association's move form or rules, the allowed days and hours, and whether they need a COI. A COI is always available; adding the building as additionally insured is $75.

Can you move a few pieces from my mother's condo to my house?

Yes. If it's three or more pieces, it's an hourly small move: $195 for the first hour, then $165/hour for 2 movers + the van, in 30-minute increments. One or two pieces are a flat rate.

Do you have big trucks?

We don't have any big trucks, vans only. For a bigger load we suggest a second trip or a second crew, or you can rent a truck and book us to load and unload it.

I only need movers, not a van. Is that cheaper?

It's the same price. The crew still comes in the van, because they need transport and the van carries all the moving equipment: dollies, pads, straps and tools.
